Footwear design and development institute providing students an opportunity to pursue a career in footwear and leather industry



Footwear design and development institute aims at providing excellent education to students who wish to pursue a career in the field of design and development of footwear and leather goods. It’s one of those esteem institutes which is offering both creative exposure as well as theoretical knowledge to students regarding the footwear and leather industry.

The FDDI offers a 3 year undergraduate program and a 2 year post graduate program to its students. There is also a 5 year integrated programme which combines both the undergraduate studies as well as post graduate curriculum. However it is only offered in two campuses namely Noida and Rohtak.
The past year students have had excellent placement despite of the FDDI degree mamla, which is now resolved. Students have been successful in finding placement in multinational companies in both India as well as abroad. Many have also set up their own business and are adding a great deal to the Indian economy.

Keeping in mind the vast demand for the footwear, the ministry of commerce have decided to invest in the footwear sector and that’s the reason why FDDI is planning to set iup 5 more institutes in the year 2017.

Students who are interested in pursuing studies in FDDI need to sit for an entrance exam which is being help from 7th June 2017-9th June 2017.Based on the results students will be called for counselling and then can choose their campuses. There are already campuses in Fursatganj (Near Lucknow), Chennai, Kolkata, Chhindwara, Rohtak, Jodhpur, Guna, Ankleshwar (Gujarat), Chandigarh, Hyderabad & Patna and the main campus which is located in Noida. Apart from these students will be given an opportunity to select from 5 more campuses once they are opened later during the year.
