It’s just a few
days away from the big day when Footwear design and development institute will

it open various aspects and career fields but also exposes the students to
international market in the field of footwear and leather goods.
The leather good
industry in India itself is booming as the demand for footwear and leather
goods is increasing with every passing day. There was a time when people did
not pay much attention to their footwear and would be happy with just one or
two pairs of shoes, however things are not the same now. Now a day’s people
like to team up different kind of shoes with different kind of clothes. FDDI in
the recent past has completed very critical projects such as manufacturing
footwear for police and personnel from air force. Other than that they have
also come up with specialised shoes to cater to the demand of people below the
poverty line. These type of shoes are known as the budget shoes.
The main aim of
FDDI is that each and every person in India must have a proper footwear to wear
in different climatic condition. The students therefore are taught to
understand the demand and thus decide on a suitable price which can be
affordable by the consumer. Apart from that they are also targeting to capture
the international demand so that they can earn foreign exchange by
internationals consumers.
