The D-day is tomorrow when thousands of students sit for the FDDI entrance exam

The D-day is less than 24 hours away, when thousands of applicants will sit for the much awaited FDDI entrance exam. Tomorrow footwear design and development institute is due to hold its multiple choice entrance exam for which loads and loads of applicants are gearing forward. The exam will be conducted on computer and will have a multiple choice questions for which 1 mark will be awarded for every correct question and no negative marking for an incorrect question.
This year there has been a record number of applicants who have applied for the entrance exam. This is simply due to the fact that footwear and leather goods industry is on full boom. Not only there has been an increasing demand locally by Indian consumers but also there has been a large international demand.
The foreign players have always been very keen in employing Indian resources and setting up factories in India as far has footwear is concerned; however India was not able to cater to an increasing demand. Now after the successful implementation of the FDDI bill being passed in Lok Sabha, the Ministry of Commerce has shown green light and is now aiming to become world’s number 1 in production of leather goods. Currently due to lack of manpower and proper skilled resources India stands at worlds number 2 superseded by China which is taking acre of most of the foreign demand.
Keeping this in mind the footwear and leather goods industry wishes to employ more and more skilled students who can effectively understand international demand and can thus become world’s number one. The FDDI is therefore looking to open more institute so that more and more students can acquire the required skills and can add to the industry and eventually to the Indian economy.

The entrance exams for footwear design and development institute are in full swing, there are large number of students who sat for the entrance exam for various course in footwear design and development institute. Today is the last exam and the result will be declared shortly.
Once the results are declared then the students who have cleared the exam will be called for counselling and they would be provided the campus and the course of their choice. This year the demand for various courses in footwear and leather design courses have been at an upsurge.
There have been record number of candidates who have applied for these courses and the competition is cut throat. Keeping in mind the increasing demand for various courses, Footwear design and development institute plans to open 5 additional institutes all across India so that more and more candidates get an opportunity to pursue these course.
There have been a vast demand of leather goods and footwear, not only from India but also from the rest of the world. But the sad part is that in spite of having all the raw material and valuable resources India is unable to convert the demand .The reason behind this is lack of skills. Therefore FDDI aims at training more and more students so that they are able to understand the requirements and full fill the international demand.

In the recent past FDDI had seen some bad days when it got trapped in the FDDI degree mamla but now it has been resolved and ever since the previous batches have done very well and have a lucrative career today. Footwear design and development institute providing a correct blend of theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge to its students

More and more youngsters are getting adventurous when it comes to their career. Gone are those days when every parent wanted their child to become a doctor or an engineer?
Now with a growing demand of commodities. Especially fashion related goods, there has been an increasing demand for fashion related goods such as apparel and leather goods. Along with apparel, footwear has also seen an increasing trend. Hence the Ministry of commerce is making a conscious effort to meet this increasing demand which is not only arising domestically by Indian consumers but also international consumers.
However there has been a major bottleneck and that is of lack of skilled manpower. India has no dearth of raw material, but what it lacks is skilled manpower. There is a large unorganised sector which is engaged in manufacturing of leather good ,but the problem still remains the same, and that is the cost of manufacturing.,
In order to bring down the cost of manufacturing it is very important to make use of state of the art machinery and modern techniques, which is now offered by FDDI.FDDI offers both undergraduate courses as well as post graduate courses and once the students complete the course they are well trained in handling all kind of demand whether it is from the Indian consumers or the international consumer.
FDDI is known for its excellent curriculum and one of the best teaching. It provides the right mix of both practical knowledge and theoretical principals which are made use of in the manufacturing process. Students who have passed out of FDDI in the past years have a successful career and many have also started their own footwear production houses and are doing very well.
